If the weather still permits let’s get out of the house! Sometimes ”couple’s activities” are for inside, but let’s save those for times when it’s really nice to keep the outside out by shutting the door and staying inside
A fun place to see beauty can be a garden center, or gardening nursery.
Grab your activity partner, your comfy shoes a camera and a notepad, to photograph and write down new gardening ideas.
There is always room for new plants and flowers no matter how big or small your house or garden is.
This is another great time for self-expression, picking out plants or flowers that you like and for learning what plants or flowers your partner likes. Here is a very fun exercise. Ask your partner to pick out a plant or flower that they like and one that they think you will like. Everything should be done with ”oh my”, I knew you like that color. And “that’s for me? I love it”! No judgment, just acceptance.
Go to a place that has a friendly knowledgeable staff. Did you notice that I said” friendly” first? This is a fun outing, so go to a place where the people are friendly.
My activity partner and I like Armstrong Garden Center. We always get friendly, knowledgeable help and sometimes attend their gardening classes.
Singles – you always get to go too. What kind of people do you think go to gardening centers? That’s right. Creative people that appreciate beauty and aren’t sitting at home. Sounds like great people to meet!
So look through the phone book or search on the web and go to a garden center. Have fun and put some some color in your life.
